Chashah Monastery is more than just some religious organization. The foundation of who we are empowers Tigrayans and other Horn Africans into proficiency as a people. The issue today is we simply do not have a spiritual foundation, which leads us to success. How many times will we beg the international community for things they will never give us? Is being adamant going to change the minds of those who willfully disregard Tigray? Are you hoping with a prayer and no spiritual foundation? Are your prayers being answered without a spiritual foundation?
As Chashah Monastery, we are in touch with our Tegaru kinsmen in Tigray, and sometimes the internet connections aren’t good. That being said, we understand clearly that infrastructure isn't being built for Tigrayans in Tigray. There’s no one to protect us and many want to flee. So why are we investing in something that is dying? Nonprofit organizations make a lot of money by saying they will assist a cause, but when the funds are audited to discover where they have actually helped the people, it's not the total intake that goes out to assist the cause.
Chashah Monastery has connected with other Tigrayan organizations and we have discovered the lack of togetherness because of fear in competition of donations, which all donations are for unifying Tigray. That's such a contradiction. So let’s look at this, your orginaztion receives donations for the greater cause of Tigray, but when Chashah Monastery comes to assemble Tigray with social economic strategies to build infrastructure here in America, which gives us power, it’s considered some unfounded religious organization. There’s no togetherness within us, and yet, you ask for funding for the sake of Tigray to be together again.
Did you know that Tigray is being gentrified for tourism? Not only did we lose our homes, family members and businesses, we lost power! No organization outside of ያሁአ has power to place Tigrayans back into power. We still suffer loss, killings, and lack of food.
When a building is burning, there are fire trucks to extinguish the fire. Tigray is still on fire, still under siege. So what happens to donations? They are now being used to gentrify Tigray for tourism, which nonprofits unknowingly send donations to Tigray to fund the project. This is being supported by the government and there’s nothing we can do about it. Research for yourselves to see if it's true.
Many Tigrayans have become so Westernized that Prophets aren't respected any longer. A Prophet is the mouthpiece for ያሁአ to speak to the people and when the people do not adhere to what that Prophet is saying, things get worse for the people. Your American/ Westernized mentalities have destroyed the foundations of who we are as a nation. Your endless ventures of power tripping in the areas of academia has led us to nothing. The international community has no respect for us and will never help us because you don’t respect the power of ያሁአ.
There’s an old saying here in the United States…
“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
How many times will organizations feed men fish? In other words, how many times will you keep asking for donations without leading the people away from the burning building? Why do you keep acting as if the building (Tigray) isn’t being burned down and that your nonprofit organizations will unknowingly help rebuild Tigray for tourism, and not for our people? How long will you believe that lie? If your donations are helping Tegaru, why are so many of us migrating from Mekelle to Addis for safety and work? And though I just gave you the answer, I ask again, where is the money going?
It’s time to do something different, like build a community where our people are supported outside of a collapsed economy. They say that if you keep doing the same negative things repeatedly while expecting a different outcome from reality that is before you, you’re borderline insane. As a Prophet, most of us are insane to believe that Tigray will be rewarded back to us just because we fight for our rights. Any of you that have been in Washington D.C. (the District) long enough see that the District has been gentrified within the past 20 years. I know because I grew up in the District. While Washingtonians were fighting for the right to have their communities not be destroyed, the Mayors and organized profitable entities were established so that D.C. would be gentrified. There’s money in tourism, money in high end homes, apartments, businesses. So, while Tigray fights for rights to keep something that isn’t our own anymore, remember how Washington D.C. was taken from the people and was gentrified. The fight is a losing battle without the power of ያሁአ, and we lost Tigray because of not having ያሁአ.
So when you open your mouth to speak against what the Prophet has spoken and wonder why you’re losing, and being called insane for asking for donations that's building tourism in Tigray, recognize that you have been defeated because you do not worship and respect the power ያሁአ. You, Tigray, were born to worship ያሁአ, it is your blood and heritage.
If Tegaru believe we have power just because we say so without ያሁአ, then prove to me today that we have international power to help our people. Email me today with a definitive response to prove there’s economic power in the name of Tigrayans, without ያሁአ, and that we are preparing to rebuild infrastructure in Tigray. I’ll wait!
Tigray, you don’t know it yet, but your power is in ያሁአ. Wake UP!
